Role of Parents

As a Parent Participation Preschool...

...all parents are involved in running the school.

Approximately once every two weeks, you will participate in a "duty day" in the preschool, assisting our teacher during class times. Parents and children look forward to spending time together at school on these special days.

Each family is assigned a specific job to help keep the school operating smoothly and to maintain the preschool and playground.

There are requisite, monthly General Meetings featuring top educational speakers, workshops on child development and family life, as well as a brief discussion of administrative matters.

All families are required to participate in the school's fundraising efforts, at twice annual "work parties" and on special committees as needed.

Helping at the school, you’ll meet other parents, get to know the other children, and best of all, be directly involved in the early education of your child. Seymour Heights Parent Participation Preschool -- where parents and children learn together through play.
